concert · Geneva Camerata X Diamanda Callas
Love at first sight!
The orchestra that reimagines the conventions of classical music meets Diamanda Callas for the first time—a gothic, egotistical drag singer, a pop diva with an edge, and a cabaret tragedienne. The promise of an exceptionally whimsical performance!
Featuring Diamanda Callas on vocals, Jérémy Bruyère on bass, Marion Fretigny on percussion, and Ronan Yvin on trombone
Geneva Camerata
Innovative and eclectic, the Geneva Camerata orchestra is recognized worldwide for its projects that push the boundaries of what is possible and transcend traditional boundaries. Through multidisciplinary performances blending music, dance, and theater, it creates surprising encounters between genres, ranging from classical to jazz, including baroque, contemporary, rock, rap, electronic, and world music.
Diamanda Callas
Diamanda Callas speaks her mind and invents her own words. A resident performer at the Madame Arthur cabaret in Paris, she channels her jazz-goth vocals and cartoon-like glamour into a macabre and biting brand of humor. Her lyrical and somber outbursts reconcile the princess and the witch, and her romantic yet faded world evokes the melancholy of Paris.
