Reza fled Iran, traveled through Turkey, and arrived in a shipping container in Montreal, where he filed an asylum claim. From his homeland, he brought with him the terror of a death threat due to his sexual orientation. So when the police decide to deport him, his boyfriend Saad—an undocumented Moroccan immigrant—strategically befriends the attaché to the Minister of Immigration.
A political thriller, this skillfully crafted plot invites viewers to see things from the perspective of undocumented refugees. It’s an experience that sheds light on the gulf between the realities of established residents and refugees, intertwining the perceptions and feelings of both groups.
A thoroughly researched portrayal of an inhumane policy, this film is also a celebration of the body and sensuality, directed by the talented Swiss filmmaker Léa Pool (Anne Trister, Set Me Free, Lost and Delirious).

audience award at the Sofia Pride Film Festival—selected for Image + Nation, Cinémania, Toronto, Frameline, OutShine Miami, Pink Apple, and about ten other international festivals

with the support of the Office of Integration and Citizenship of the Republic and Canton of Geneva
