LOS DOMINGOS MUEREN MÁS PERSONAS MOST PEOPLE DIE ON SUNDAYS

David, a thirty-something gay Jewish man lacking in self-confidence, returns to Argentina to be with his family for a funeral. To quell his anxiety, he takes driving lessons, seeks out cheap healthcare, and tries to sleep with any man who shows him the slightest bit of attention.

Here is a tragi-comedy about an antihero surrounded by delightful female characters, with small intimate worries and seemingly insignificant nano-dramas. The full picture giveslacks dramatic effect but still digs deep into existential questions with a masterful sense of burlesque. And above all, a bewildering central character (written and played by the director), who provokes a particularly delicious empathy.
