Four black transgender sex workers from Atlanta and New York City share their unfiltered stories about their lives: their challenges, their insecurities, their hard-won wisdom in a social context where racism and transphobia can lead to violence and sometimes death.
D. Smith directs a raw, edgy and authentic debut film. A talented producer, singer and songwriter, she experienced failure after her transition and public coming out. If Kokomo City has so many awards, it is because it is carried by an original viewpoint, that is absolutely vibrant, pop, funny and refreshing!
