With a camera strapped to her wrist, Barbara Hammer filmed everything: her partners, her lovers, her friends, feminist questions, nature, intimacy, death, and more. She remains one of the first to document lesbian lives, to explore, understand, and leave a record of these free women. Her work is the perfect example of the intimate as political.
