UN MUNDO PARA MÍ NEWBORN
A young Mexican couple is overjoyed to welcome their first child, but when the baby is born, the medical staff, family, and colleagues turn on him. The pressure to define him is overwhelming, as if the entire society depended on it. The baby is intersex; his anatomy does not allow him to be classified as “girl or boy.”
Faced with relentless social pressure and the heavy weight of the binary system, the couple is forced to make a quick decision—for or against a life-altering surgery. Amid the pressure to conform and moments of realization, one question becomes clear: why decide for their child?
A grounded, thoughtful, and enlightening story—a must-see.
