In the mid-1990s, in New York State, a period when LGBTIQ+ rights progressed faster than attitudes, countless repressions remained. Lucas, a conscientious young police officer, belongs to a squad specializing in ambushing gay men. Until the day he falls in love with one of his targets. At the same time, he is preparing to celebrate New Year’s Eve with his family, who are unaware of his sexual orientation.
The timelines are blurred, a mysterious letter is lost, Lucas’ superiors intensify their hunt for gay men, he is madly in love… Actor Tom Blyth is exceptional, torn between his desire and his duty, consumed by secrecy, locked inside himself. A poignant cathartic film.
