CHERUB
Harvey, in his forties, a single heterosexual man, a laboratory technician, lives alone in a monotonous routine, spending his days almost invisible to those he encounters, despite his desire for some form of connection… So when he comes across Cherub, a gay magazine for “heavy men and their admirers,” and its contest for a new “cherub of the month,” a spark is lit within him: could he have the chance to be seen and desired?
Through a detailed interplay, an empathetic portrait tinged with love is revealed. A critique of alienation and queer loneliness, Cherub is also a gentle cinematic journey toward self-realization and body positivity.
