Rashaad Newsome, a prominent African-American multidisciplinary artist, has exhibited in some of the most prestigious venues. In 2022, he is preparing his next exhibition in New York, Assembly. A colossal installation, on the scale of the Park Avenue Armory, a historic military building and a symbol of white colonialist power. It is highly symbolic for this queer visionary, whose work focuses on questioning roots, notions of power, and symbols.

The film takes us on a journey through the turmoil of creating this grandiose show. Bringing together fractured communities, continents, the past and the future, science and nature, song, poetry, dance, AI, costumes, sculpture, and more, Newsome composes an explosion of talent, reflection, and emotion.
