Isolé au milieu de la campagne allemande, un ancien couvent rassemble un mystérieux groupe de femmes vivant en autarcie. Pratiquant un féminisme exacerbé et radical, elles s’organisent pour renverser la domination phallocrate. Mais, lorsqu’un jeune soldat blessé est recueilli et caché-là par l’une d’elles, certains secrets se dévoilent et mettent en péril leur cohésion. Restant le provocateur que l’on connaît, Bruce LaBruce nous régale d’un spectacle excessif, parfois un brin caricatural, mais toujours jubilatoire. Qu’il s’approche tantôt de la comédie tantôt du gore, le film reste éminemment engagé, politique et social. Une utopie folle qui fait plaisir à voir et à partager…
